The Year 2008 will mark Adriana's 8th year being a Victoria's Secret Angel, and her 10th year working for the company.

Adriana began with Victoria's Secret when she attended a casting for the 1998 show, and wasn't chosen. She kept attending castings until she was chosen to shoot a few catalog campaigns with the company. In late 1998, she was chosen to walk in the 1999 Victoria's Secret  Fashion show which was held in February of 1999, on wall street.

Soon after her popularity sky-rocketed with the company, she soon starred in a commercial with Laetitia Casta and Heidi Klum. In 2000, Victoria's Secret traveled to Cannes for their Annual fashion show, after her performance at the show Victoria's Secret signed her an Angel contract in June of 2000. She was the first ever Brasilian Model to be signed with the company as an Angel, even before Gisele Bundchen. Soon after, she starred in many commercials for the company, not to mention countless covers.

In 2003 Adriana opened the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show which aired on CBS, she was also profiled which brought her status to a whole new level, and her popularity became obvious to the execzs, after seeing her impact after the fashion spectacular aired.

In, 2004 Adriana starred in a commercial with Bob Dylan which had hit and miss reviews but it did wonders for Adriana's career, in fact later that year when Victoria's Secret decided to send their Angels on Tour (Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Gisele Bundchen, Adriana, and Alessandra Ambrosio) she might have not been the most famous but she was the best known to the public and was named "The crowd favorite" Her Popularity continued through 2005 and 2006,

and even taking a small break in 2007, her Popularity only became more evident when she opened the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2007 (Which no other angel has ever done except Gisele Bundchen).

Now 2008, marks Adriana's 10th year with the company and it started out showing exactly how much power she had in the company, now the number 1 angel it was prooven when Victoria's Secret gave her a Superbowl 30 second spot which shot her fame through the roof, and is suspected to make her a houshold name by the end of the year. Looks like her time as lead Angel is still only the begining of Adriana's success.
